Basically the genes from hanks mom could have been more dominant than from his dad, but hank passed Bobby the genes from his father which were dominant over peggys genes. Basically genes are wonky and Bobby is most likely Hank’s son

Here's something that doesn't get discussed enough: Hank and Junichiro both look nigh identical, implying that they inherited a similar phenotype. Problem is, it's implied that Hank inherited his looks from his mother, Tilly, while Junichiro was born from that Japanese nurse Cotton knocked up. So this would imply that Hank/Junichiro's looks were passed down from Cotton, but then why would this phenotype also show up in Tilly? Unless...Cotton and Tilly were related?
...Is Hank the result of inbreeding? Might explain his narrow urethra.

    • @woobgamer5210
      @woobgamer5210 Год назад +5

i can only assume Hank and Bobby are in the same boat. Hank looks like his mom, but one of his parents looks like himself too. We know that Junichiro looks like Hank because of Cotton's genes, that has to be the case. So maybe it's coincidental that both Tilly and Cotton's father or mother has the same physical attributes as Hank. That way it's all down to Cotton's genes being inside him from his parents, which would explain Junichiro.
We already know the Hank family is weird with Bobby having his grandfather's attributes physically.

He would also need to be physically fit and since he's been operating for around 10 years he'd be in his late thirties to late forties. While Bruce Wayne drinks vodka that could be an act! And as for motive Bruce Wayne's parents were gunned down by a mugger, that could definitely make a child grow up to beat up criminals like Batman! Oh we have the truth now! Muhahahaha!

I just think for the sake of just show fluidity he went this route. But you are right. In this case the dominance, codominance and incomplete dominance can be explained. Saying Cotton didn't care about his Japanese son is flat wrong. Cotton was extremely excited to learn about his third son, and his entire plot in that episode was being angry that Junichiro rejected him.
Cotton treated Hank terribly because he suffered from PTSD and was in a loveless marriage, torn from the woman he loved in Japan and living with the pain of walking without his shins, being literally less of a man than he was before the war. Those aren't excuses for how he treated Hank, but how Cotton treats Bobby and G.H. seems like his more normal personality, after he's had time to accept what happened to him.

I'm in the camp that Dale knows of the affair between Nancy and Redcorn but didn't care because of how cushy it let his life be in general. He got to work a job he loved even though the pay was pretty bad, he got a son out of the deal that he would none-to-subtly rub in Redcorn's face, and when he and Nancy began to reignite the passion in their marriage that was just the icing on the cake for him. Best revenge is living a good life.
The biggest thing that also contributes to Hank being Bobby's father is he looks very similar to him when he was younger. Similar body type, similar face, etc. Bobby has been said to be a "Late bloomer" quite often in the series, even by doctors. Odds are if he'd kept ageing in the later seasons he probably would've been starting to look more like Hank in high school.
Cotton definitely gets along better with Bobby because of a few factors: Bobby entertains him, listens to him and doesn't often challenge him. Cotton HATES it when people fight him on things even when he's undeniably in the wrong, hence why he'll attack Hank for minor things but gets along better with Dale or Bill because they just roll with what he's doing. Hank will fight him on things.

Peggy is APPALLED because Hank wouldn't consider it with them. Hank explains that Ladybird is a dog. Her mating would mean nothing to her. The thing that MatPat doesn't realize, from a biologist and an actual example of this, but genetics are really weird! Those recessive genes, particularly hair, can be linked to other recessive genes thus the child that has the recessive traits may look more like the grandparent(s) than their parents.
Case in point: Red hair is a recessive trait in family tree, paternal grandmother has this trait and has a distinctive facial composition. Children come along and all have dark hair, but the grandchildren come. Red hair appears in granddaughters, and as they mature they develop the grandmother's distinctive facial composition. Que jokes about mini mes during family get together's and awkward comparisons to 50+ year old pictures.

There was an episode where Peggy thought a hot Mexican actor was hitting on her. She was in Mexico as a tutor for his kids, living in his mansion, and misunderstanding his interactions with her. She strongly considers giving in to the imagined temptation but ultimately tells the guy that she won't cheat on Hank. Yeah, she slept with someone before marrying Hank but she's 100% not the kind of character that would cheat on her husband. Neither Hank nor Peggy are the cheating type. Bobby is definitely Hank's kid. The reason Hank has the personality he has comes down to his father's emotional abuse. Hank's mother is much more of a free spirit, so Bobby's personality actually runs in the family, at least on Hank's mother's side.

I like the theory that Dale knows that Joseph isn't his son and he probably was the first to know about it.
Basically Nancy married Dale 2 years before she met John Redcorn and she was pretty hot during that time as she competed in pageants. So why would a woman like Nancy ever settle for a man like Dale? Unless Dale wasn't always crazy and Nancy just liked his sweet side. Then Nancy cheated on Dale with John and Dale saw the act play out. This led to Dale having a nervous breakdown and believing conspiracy theirs theories (as his way of making sense of the world now). The only thing that prevented this from happening sooner given his weird childhood was Nancy, and so he didn't want to lose her. So he distracted himself with guns, aliens and conspiracy theories while "allowing" Nancy to see John for "migrain sessions". They get pregnant and Dale stays with Nancy.

Dale strikes me as someone who could do the long burn so to speak on revenge and someone who would hide information from even his closest friends as evidence from the y2k episode they did.
as far as other conspiracies like alien baby well dales dale. He seems both smart and idiotic at times. Nobody is a clear cut trope if they are written well. Even if the reader/viewer never knows about it there is parts of the past that shapes them into who they are.

Here's my fan theory.... I think one of the reasons Peggy is so disgusted with Bill is that, as a high schooler, she might have had a teeny tiny schoolgirl crush on him. Don't forget back in high school, Bill was *the man* and all the gals wanted him. Maybe even including Peggy? So when she sees the man he became, some of that disgust is projection on her part, silently belittling herself for ever thinking Bill was cute, handsome, attractive, etc. But rather than admit she was wrong back in the day (which she hates doing), she projects all her embarrassment onto Bill, which is made worse because, now, Bill has a crush on her.

Mat. It's not uncommon for a grandchild to look more like the grandparent than the child. At all. There are all kinds of cases of that. It's just a bunch of recessive genes. I am a redhead with no redheads in either side if my family for at least 5 generations. Doesnt mean I'm not my parent's child.
Also grandparents always love their grandchildren more than their kids. Its instinctual. A grandchild is the ultimate genetic success. You have succeeded in ensuring your genetics will outlive you if you have a grandchild.
